Description
Billy Squier was born and raised in suburban Boston, five years after World War Two ended. An only child and a child of privilege, he took an interest in music during childhood.
Squier fronted several bands throughout his Seventies apprenticeship years. Solo by decade’s end, he signed on with Capitol Records and became one of the label’s biggest selling artists in the 1980s.
This first ever comprehensive chronicle is the first to detail the career of a serious musician once adored by a generation moving into young adulthood. His sensational 1981 Triple Platinum certified Don’t Say No album remains a Rock classic – and radio airplay staple – to this day.
